Big Biller Integrations

Google: As part of our usage of Google APIs to enhance your Big Biller experience, we are asked to disclose what portions of its API we use and how we store or share user data, should you integrate your Google account with Big Biller

  • Gmail – Big Biller currently integrates with Google to allow you to send emails out of Big Biller to your recipients via your Gmail address. These emails show up in your Gmail sent items. Big Biller saves a copy of the email message it sends via google as a sent item within our own Sent Items feature for lookup within the software. The email is also saved as an Activity within the system so that you are able to view the Sent Email Activity in our various Activities lists. We do not share this information outside of your organization. Via permissions set by your agency’s main contact items that you send that we have stored in our system may be visible to other users as Sent Items and/or Activities for information sharing purposes within your organization.
    • Specific API endpoints and our usage include:

      • gmail.send: Big Biller features an in-app Email client that allows users to send out emails via their Google-hosted email address.
      • gmail.settings.basic: Big Biller will look at a Gmail user’s SendAs addresses to determine their preferred address when sending emails via their Gmail integration
  • Calendar – Big Biller currently integrates with Google to allow you to have your scheduled Big Biller Activities sync with your Google Calendar. These Big Biller Activities and its detail remain within Big Biller for its own planner and historical purposes, but allow you to view them as well in your Google Calendar. If you were to change the activity within your Google Calendar, Google reports the change to Big Biller so that your Big Biller Activity and Planner can be updated as well.
    • Specific API endpoints and our usage of them include:

      • calendar.events.readonly: Big Biller hosts an in-app calendar for scheduling activities. Users can use their Gmail integration to sync their Big Biller calendar activities to their Google calendar. If a Big Biller activity is modified from the Google calendar, Big Biller will read any changes made on the Google event and update that event within Big Biller
      • calendar: When a user integrates with Gmail, Big Biller will create a Google calendar for them and store any activities created within our software on that Google calendar.
  • Users – our usage of users is limited to a library we use to authenticate with Google when you choose to integrate your Google account with Big Biller
    • Specific API endpoints and our usage of them include:

      • userinfo.profile, userinfo.email, & userinfo.openid: these scopes are required for our Google api client for authentication.
