Poll: Majority of Recruiters Enjoying a Better Year in 2012

by | Jul 5, 2012 | Recruiter Training, Top Echelon Blog

The first half of 2012 is officially over.  Two quarters down, two to go.  It’s halftime, so to speak.

But that begs the question: how well are recruiters doing so far this year, as compared to last year?  Regardless of what exactly is happening with the economy, are recruiters enjoying more success, at least as far as how they define it?

As you might imagine, we decided to conduct a poll of the Top Echelon Network Membership to answer these (and other) questions.  The question that we posed is as follows:

How does your production for the first half of 2012 compare to the first half of 2011?

The choice of answers that we provided is listed below, along with the percentage of recruiters who selected each one:

  • Significantly better—41.4%
  • A little better—39.7%
  • About the same—10.3%
  • A little worse—1.7%
  • Significantly worse—6.9%

As you can see, there’s plenty of good news, specifically that the vast majority of respondents indicated that their production was better than last year—either “significantly better” (41.4%) or “a little better” (39.7%).

In addition, a small percentage (10.3%) stated that this year has been “about the same” as 2011.  Those who feel that their production in 2012 is worse than last year are clearly in the minority.

How about you?  How does your production so far this year stack up with last year?  Are you on track to achieve your goals?  Why or why not?
