Tips for Driving More Traffic to Your Hiring Hook Website

by | Jan 14, 2011 | Recruiter Training, Top Echelon Blog

Okay, so you have a Hiring Hook website plug-in… what can you do now to help maximize its effectiveness and make sure that qualified candidates visit your site, upload their resume, fill out a Customized Questionnaire, and apply for your posted positions?

Drive traffic to your website, that’s what!

Driving traffic to your site is commonly called “Search Engine Optimization” or “SEO.”  There’s more than one component to a successful SEO campaign, and what works and what doesn’t can constantly change and evolve.

However, there are some basic things that you can do and should be doing in order to drive traffic to your website.  Two of those things are securing inbound links to your site from other websites and also making sure that your “on-page SEO” is the best that it can be.

Not sure what these things actually mean?  Not a problem.  I’ve covered these topics on our “Top Echelon TV” show and also in the Top Echelon Recruiter Training Blog.  Click on the links below to view the “Top Echelon TV” episodes that deal with SEO for recruiters.  Below each link is a short description of what each episode contains.

Search Engine Optimization Tip #1 for Recruiters
Recruiters should strive to create as many inbound links to their website as possible, and one of the best ways in which to accomplish this is by participating in online communities within their industry or niche.

Search Engine Optimization Tip #2 for Recruiters
“On-page SEO” includes things such as domain names, title tags, meta tags and descriptions, and keywords, which I explain in more detail in this episode.

In addition, I’ve written several posts in the Recruiter Training Blog regarding search engine optimization for recruiters’ websites.  Those posts include “on-page SEO,” “off-page SEO,” and the difference between the two.  Click on the links below to access those individual blog posts.
