Q: Do I have to sign any long-term contract? Or can I quit using Hiring Hook at any time?
A: Like all Top Echelon offerings, Hiring Hook is a month-by-month commitment. If you ever wish to stop using Hiring Hook, just call our office and notify us. Simple!


Q: Do I have to redo my website in order to use Hiring Hook?
A: No, you can use the recruiting website you currently have.


Q: Do I have to join Top Echelon Network in order to use Hiring Hook?
A: No. Any recruiter in the country can use Hiring Hook.


Q: Do I have to use the Big Biller recruiting software in order to have Hiring Hook power my Jobs Page on my website?
A: No. Hiring Hook can be used by itself.


Q: Are there any benefits to using Hiring Hook in conjunction with Big Biller?
A: Yes! Big Biller integrates very nicely with Hiring Hook. For example, when candidates upload their Candidate Profile and resume through your website's Hiring Hook "Jobs Page," these candidates can be directly imported into your Big Biller's candidate database. Essentially, you're having candidates perform their own data entry for you! For example, you could instruct any/all candidates and job seekers to register on your website, fill out the Candidate Profile, and upload their resume. Then, you select which candidate data is worthy of keeping and uploading to Big Biller and which is not.

Another benefit of using Big Biller in conjunction with Hiring Hook is this: any job orders that you've entered in Big Biller can be "flagged" to go to your website's "Job Page."  Big Biller also has many other job order posting options, as well.


Q: How do I get started with Hiring Hook?
A: Call our office at (330) 455-1433, give us your information, and we will set everything up for you (with the exception of putting a plug-in link on your current website).


Q: How do I put a plug-in link on my current website that points to Hiring Hook?
A: Just contact whoever created your website and ask them to put an "url link" in your html webpage code that points to the Hiring Hook web address that we'll provide for you.


Q: Will my Jobs Page on my website look like the rest of my website?
A: Yes! We will customize your Jobs Page for you, so that it matches your website.


Q: You mentioned that there were programs and databases; what do those involve?
A: There are various software programs and databases, but they all reside on your computers/servers. You don't need to maintain any hardware or software. We handle that for you.


Q: Will I be able to repost the job orders on my website's Jobs Page to other Internet sites?
A: Yes! There are many options here. First, we provide you with an RSS Feed, so that you can repost your job orders anywhere you wish. Second, as a customer of Top Echelon, you are automatically entitled to a 90% discount off JobJavelin.


Q: Can I select the questions that candidates are asked on Hiring Hook's Candidate Profile?
A: Yes, you can turn questions on and off and select which questions are asked. The types of questions on the Candidate Profile are fairly generic, such as the candidate's basic contact information, education, job title, wage information, skills summary, desire for full-time/part-time employment, etc.


Q: Can I create additional or customized questions? Can I add my own personlized questionnaire?

A: Yes. Hiring Hook has an entire section which allows you to create multiple questionnaires. Recruiters can ask questions that require essay-type answers, multiple choice answers, or single-choice answers. You can attach your custom questionnaire on a job-by-job basis.


Q: When candidates upload their resume through Hiring Hook, how does their resume have to be formatted?
A: Hiring Hook will accept resumes in these common formats: .doc, .pdf, .docx, and .txt.


Q: I am a recruiting specialist in a very narrow niche market. Can I customize my Hiring Hook "Jobs Page" so that my candidates only see wording and search criteria that is relevant to my niche?
A: Yes, we will show you how to customize Hiring Hook's searching functionality so that your candidates can only search for jobs in your specialty niche.


Q: Can anyone in the world access my Hiring Hook "Jobs Page"?
A: No. We have blocked many foreign countries from accessing our servers for two main reasons: (1) Too many foreign candidates wasting recruiters' time, and (2) Many "hack attacks" are originating from these countries. Blocking various countries allows us to help protect you and us from many types of problems (identity theft, candidate theft, wasted time and effort fixing problems), which ultimately allows us to keep our prices down for you. If you need a strong international presence, Hiring Hook may not be for you.
